D.C. Police Operation Sting Patch

Honor law enforcement history with this MPDC "Operation Sting" Patch. Most people don't know that the very phrase "sting operation" was coined right here in the Nation's Capital — in 1975, MPDC Detective Lieutenant Robert Arscott devised the nation's first undercover sting to combat a surge in local fencing operations. This patch pays tribute to that landmark moment in an approximately 5" × 4" format.
